CHAPTER 4. Postflight Checks
1. Safe Landing & Shutdown
After flight:
- Land the aircraft in a clear, designated area
- Allow motors to fully stop before approaching
- Power off the aircraft safely
- Turn off the remote controller
2. Battery Care
Immediately after landing:
- Remove the battery carefully
- Allow battery to cool before charging
- Check battery for swelling or damage
- Store battery at proper storage level if not reusing soon
3. Aircraft Inspection
Post-flight check:
- Inspect propellers for any damage
- Check motors and arms for debris or wear
- Clean dirt, dust, or moisture from the drone
- Inspect camera and gimbal condition
4. Flight Review & Logs
After operation:
- Review flight data or logs if available
- Note any errors, warnings, or unusual behavior
- Record flight details if required (time, location, duration)
- Report any incidents if necessary
5. Storage & Transport
Before packing away:
- Secure all components properly
- Store drone in protective case
- Keep equipment in a cool, dry place
- Ensure accessories are accounted for
